Reasons Russian Women Seek Western Men

Russian women like Russian men. If they could, they would prefer to marry a Russian man. Of course, a Russian woman is looking for a good husband, and many Russian men often do not make good husbands.

Russian society is very chauvinistic. Women usually do the housework and take care of the children. Because of economics, they usually have a job as well.

From a cultural standpoint, drinking is socially acceptable and many Russian men drink to excess, which can also affect their health. Many Russian men are like the old cartoon character of Andy Capp.

Some are lazy, alcoholic bums who let their wives do all the housework, plus bring home a paycheck, while they go out with their friends and drink and chase women. If their wives object, they give them a swat, and if they object too much, they leave.

Many Russian women believe that Westerners make better husbands. Right or wrong, they believe that Westerners are more liberated than Russian men and will pitch in with more of the household tasks.

Many Russian women are attracted to American men because they are better groomed and wear cleaner clothes than Russian men. American men are more polite and genteel than Russian men. Many Russians appear impolite to Americans.

They don’t say please or thank you very often. The older generation of Russians has table manners that Americans are not used to. During the Communist years, manners were considered bourgeois and they fell out of favor.

Because of the death of so many men in the Stalinist purges and World War II, many Russian men were raised without a father. Many of them do not know how to function as a father and are minimally involved with raising their children.

Many Russian women believe that they will have more economic opportunity for themselves and for their children in Western countries than in Russia.

All the women in the world are looking for economic security. Why should Russian women be any different?
America is a nation of immigrants. Virtually all of the people who have immigrated to America were looking for a better life. They operated out of what Adam Smith called ‘enlightened self-interest.’ Russian women are no different.

I mean, if the language or an education aren’t an issue, are there any specific topics and subjects normal for the Western Women which Russian women don’t find interesting? besides their own kids (all women find that subject the most important) are there any specific topics and subjects they prefer to talk about?
Any kind of movies they never watch?
Any kind of music they never listen to?
Amy kind of other themes they aren’t interested in, when they live abroad, in the Western Europe or the Northern America?

Russian women can talk about everything, depends with who and where! Personally, I live in US for 4 years, but I don’t have American girlfriends, because we don’t have connection. Every time when I’m trying to talk to an American girl, we both understand, that it doesn’t go well. The same with my two best girlfriends from Russia, which came to US couple years ago. I don’t know why is this way. I am very communicative person, have no issues with language, very open and friendly. Also I noticed, when Russian girls moving to US being teenagers, they have more American girlfriends than Russian. So, may be, I am too old =)))

In general, you can talk to a Russian woman about anything, if you close enough. Russian women are open and friendly.

can someone explain why there are many more women in than men in Russia?

is it because of ww2 and Stalinist purges,since those events took place many years ago i think the effects of those events have passes.but why is it that there are more women to men in Russia in this modern age.

Mostly it is to do with life expectancy. Life expectancy in russia is 61.8 years for males and 72.3 for females. Women live 10.5 years longer than men.
Globally women live 4.5 years longer than men.

For under 15 years old there are 1.05 males for every female. A fairly normal ratio.
At 15-30 there are 0.92 males per female.
and at 65+ there are 0.44 males per female (lowest in the world)

Russia’s death rate amongst males is very high compared with other developed countries. Partly due to alcohol abuse, accidents, smoking and violent crime (typically amongst the working classes)
Russia also has the 3rd highest suicide rate in the world, Russian males commit suicide 5.7 times more than females.

Russia’s biggest cause of death is Heart Disease, attributed to 57% of deaths. In general males are always at a higher risk than females.

Also the effects that you mentioned still have an effect on the number of the males in the population.
