Well, we are over 10 years happily married.
I have been asked by many people during these years why I didn´t marry an Indian (as it would have been “normal”), and all I can say is that I had to follow my heart.
On the other hand I have spend my childhood and early youth in India till I went to study abroad and I know that it is always quiet unfair to compare people, but I must say that I decided pretty soon that I can´t see my future in the skin of a typical Indian housewife or one of these women who have to work as hard as any male at work and do all the work at home as well because their husband think that they are better and that they do not have to move a finger…
Sorry to say this, but Indian society is machismo and most of the Indian men I know (friends, family, relatives) are these typical machos who won´t accept that a woman is equal to them…
I didn´t want to marry any American as well, as I found them so nationalists and not open minded at all… all what happens outside America does not concern them at all… it´s like if it would happen on another planet.
European men are mostly educated and give women the possibility to grow as a person, personally and professionally and yes, they do share all the household chores with you and give you your private space as well without spying behind you.
What do Indian men see in Russian women?
Maybe that they are much more independent and that they do not ask for money and security in the first place but for love… and that they are not too much of a princess…
I found out that the new Indian male generation prefers independent women who do know where they stand in life… not the same when I was young and a women who did have a degree and wanted to work instead of staying home and pamper her husband was regarded as strange.
Nowadays Indian women want more and more: Independence but also the security of a rich husband and they demand and demand and give less and less… I guess this could be a reason, don´t you?
