I’m having this dilemma with a woman that i like. She happens to be russian, but my parents got this neverending attitude about “mailorder brides”, how horrible russians are and how much of a scam all of the girls are.
In face she is a genuine girl, has good relations with her family, we have good conversations and I don’t look at her as a “mail order bride”, I look at her as a potential partner.
How can I kill their prejudice?
They are right to be skeptical because people are losing millions every year thru these scams. Have you actually met her and her family in person? If not, then it is possibly a scam. Has she asked you for money for any reason no matter how small, for phone bills, visas, plane tickets, medical bills or anything else? if yes, its definitely a scam and she’s only out for your money. Does she look like a supermodel or pornstar in the photos? If yes, it’s definitely a scam. Real women on dating sites look like real women, not models. Women who look like models don’t go on online dating sites
Until you actually go visit her or she is able to get a tourist visa on her own with her own money to visit you, you never can be too sure how honest she really is.
There have been so many news shows and articles about these Russian online dating scams that you really can never be too careful. She might be genuine, and if she is good luck to you. But you also can’t be too trusting until you’ve met her and her family to confirm she really is who she pretends to be
