What are examples of gender-based violence?
People often say violence is horrible – no matter if the victim is male or female. While I wholeheartedly agree – I don’t condone violence of any sort- there is violence that is perpetrated against women specifically.

They mention domestic violence in Russia (guys – is the domestic violence rate in Russia 50/50?), son preference sex selected abortions, trafficking, HIV as a result of rape, and child brides.

This is not about bashing men – this is about resolving a problem. Sometimes women are involved too – in carrying out the ‘traditon’ or ‘cultural practice.’
What other forms of gender-based violence is there?
Rape. Men are victims as well, sometimes even to women (and I think that’s a case that’s highly underreported) but let’s face it- the majority of rape victims are women.
